About Me
I am committed to creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly understood-just as you are. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, grounded in compassion, empathy, and warmth. I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, supportive, and free of judgment. Together, we will explore your experiences, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Areas of Focus
I work with individuals across the lifespan, from adolescence through retirement. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and abuse. I also help individuals and families navigate relationship concerns, including parent-child dynamics and relationships with adult children. My experience includes work in child protection, foster care and adoption, complex emotional and behavioral challenges, sexual violence, and human trafficking.
Experience
In addition to my work at Family Circle Counseling, I support female-identified teens in crisis shelter and group home settings in the Twin Cities who have experienced or are at risk of human trafficking. This work informs my trauma-responsive, strengths-based approach and strengthens my commitment to fostering safety, trust, and connection in therapy.
Therapeutic Approach
I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs, goals, and strengths. My work integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing, along with movement-based and creative, trauma-informed practices.
Outside of Work
I value lifelong learning and enjoy trying new things and having new experiences. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watercolor painting, and exploring Minnesota’s North Shore with family and friends.
