Maureen Maslinski, MSW, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (She/Her)
I have 24 years experience working with children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings including in-home, residential treatment, outpatient settings, and in schools. For the past 18 of those 24 years, I have been a licensed therapist doing individual, family and group work.
I have been a therapist at Family Circle Counseling since 2013 and became a co-owner in 2018. In addition to therapy, I provide clinical consultation to a local non-profit agency which focuses their work on helping women find and sustain affordable housing while also dealing with mental health and/or addiction. I am a MN Board of Social Work approved supervisor and provide clinical supervision to LSW and LGSW individuals. I am also an adjunct faculty member in the Master of Social Work program at The University of St. Thomas.
At Family Circle Counseling, I currently work with pre-teen, teenagers and adults of all ages doing individual and family therapy.
I specialize in working with people dealing with anxiety, depression, attachment injuries, adoption (all parts of the triad), grief and loss, and those who have experienced traumatic events. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 1. In addition, I have participated in consultation and training around parts work and ego state therapy which I incorporate with my clients.
I use a strengths based, family focused approach in order to find the best way to work with each individual or family. I enjoy helping others through building relationships with clients of multiple racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. I work with each individual and family to find the best path toward healing and feeling better.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring around town with my 5 year old Golden Retriever and travelling to new places!I can be reached directly at 612-807-3616.
